Italian Agency for AIFA Procedure - for all pharmaceutical Companies
Any pharmaceutical company supporting or participating in a congress in Italy, is subjected to an authorisation by AIFA (Italian Drug Agency), according to an Italian Government Decree (Decreto Legislativo 219/06 – art. 124). This procedure has to be followed also by all affiliates of a pharmaceutical company/group interested in participating in the event (with a delegation of Medical Doctors or a sponsorship).
The request of authorisation must be submitted within 60 days before the starting date of the event. Pharmaceutical companies are advised to contact the official Agency appointed by the organising secretariat:
