Sarcoma & GIST 2014

The 5^th ESMO Conference on Sarcoma & GIST took place in Milan Italy, 18-19 February 2014. Starting with pathology and a deeper molecular understanding of different disease sub-types, the programme offered participants presentations focused on a personalised approach to – all organ localisations of – soft tissue sarcomas, localised and advanced GIST as well as resistant and sensitive forms.

What is truly unique about ESMO’s Sarcoma and GIST Conferences are the in-depth discussions about very rare sub-entities with world-renowned experts in the field. The strong network of sarcoma experts exchanging expertise year after year, is proof of the success of this niche meeting and the importance of international collaboration. Attendees benefited from a rich programme of state-of-the-art presentations from top pathologists, surgical oncologists, radiotherapists, medical oncologists and patient advocacy representatives from Europe and the US.
