Following on from three successful editions, the fourth ESMO Conference on Sarcoma and GIST gave a wide-ranging overview of current medical therapy of soft tissue sarcomas and GIST.
The goal was to provide a comprehensive overview of current medical therapy of soft tissue sarcomas and GIST, with a focus on both multidisciplinary clinical approach and molecular and pathological bases of these diseases.
With this goal, lectures on molecular biology and those on treatment have been grouped together in the same sessions. These are based on the various anatomical regions from which sarcomas can arise throughout the body, thus going from the classical limb locations to retroperitoneum, from visceral (including GIST) to gynaecological, thoracic, head & neck primary sites.
Thanks to a top-level faculty including the major clinical and translational experts from the worldwide sarcoma community, the audience took home an updated overview of where we are with soft tissue sarcomas and GIST and where we are going.
Main Sessions:
- Localised and advanced gastrointestinal stromal tumours
- Proximal limb sarcoma
- Limb and gridle sarcoma
- Distal limb sarcoma
- Retroperitoneal sarcoma
- Head & neck and thoracic sarcoma
- Uterine and breast sarcoma
- Metastatic sarcoma
