ESMO COVID-19 regulations to access the congress
ESMO requires that all attendees are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 OR recovered in the last 6 months with at least one dose of a vaccine by the time of the Congress. Vaccination proof will not be checked by ESMO.
Additionally, we strongly recommend:
- Testing for Covid-19 within 48 hours prior to the inbound trip with a molecular, rapid antigen or self-test. The result will not be checked by ESMO
- Wearing a face mask in closed spaces
- Avoid shaking hands; wash your hands regularly and use hand sanitisers
Please note that each participant need to follow the specific country COVID-19 regulations approved by the local authorities, if more restrictive than the ESMO regulations.
If there is a QR code on your documentation, any language is accepted. Otherwise, the documentation should be in English, French, German, Italian.
No, it is not mandatory to wear a face mask, but it is strongly recommended.

Virtual platform login and access problems
Your email address is your username. If you have more than one email, make sure you use the email used to create your ESMO account. If you need assistance, please contact us.
Please follow these steps:
- Go to esmo.org
- On the top right of the page, click Login
- Below the login box, click Forgot password
- Enter your email address and press Reset Password
- Check your email box or SPAM and click on the reset password link
- Create a new password

- You need to enter the email address linked to your ESMO account and to check that email box for the reset link
- Please do not create a new profile with a different email address, if you need assistance contact us
- If you don’t receive the email with the reset link within a few minutes, please contact us.
The link to access the European Lung Cancer Congress 2023 virtual platform will be available on the homepage of the ESMO website, www.esmo.org and in the registration confirmation that you will receive by email.
- Clear your cookies and cache: If you experience any issues accessing the platform we suggest you clear your cookies and cache following the instructions found here (Chrome), here (Firefox), here (Safari) or here (Opera).
- Internet browsers: For the best user-experience ESMO recommends the most recent version of Google Chrome, second to this would be Firefox, Safari and Opera. Internet Explorer is not recommended. Please note that ad blockers can prevent content from loading and new tabs from opening.
- Bandwidth: While there are no access constraints on the virtual platform, it is recommended to have at least a 5mb/s connection for best results with live streaming.
- Firewalls: Content is accessible by default without the need of a VPN. However, ESMO is not responsible for the restrictions of your institute or company internet provider, network or state. In those cases, the use of a VPN is possible, if in line with the legal conditions of your country, internet provider, company or institute.
- Device: The virtual platform is accessible with any device that can connect to the internet through a browser. The experience is fully responsive for any device
Registration
You will need to have an ESMO account and go through the registration process in order to register for the meeting. Registration fees are published on the ESMO website.

If you are not a Member but would like to join ESMO and you meet the Membership requirements, you can do so now. Please note that it may take a few minutes to activate your Membership and then you may proceed to registration.
Reimbursements for individuals who decide to become a Member after paying the registration fee will not be made.

The individual registration system remains open throughout the duration of the congress. Our deadlines are available on our official website.
By mid-March 2023 delegates will receive the registration confirmation email and instructions on how to access European Lung Cancer Congress 2023.
The group and third-party registration systems will close on 8 March 2023. After that date, all delegates must register individually through the European Lung Cancer Congress registration process.
The European Lung Cancer Congress 2023 is accessible to certified healthcare professionals, associated press, industry representatives and other stakeholders in the science, management, and prevention of oncological diseases. Registered participants will have access to all official sessions, industry sponsored symposia and exhibition. Participants must be at least 18 years old.

Yes, you will be able to download and print your Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the online evaluation as of Saturday, 1st April from 10.00 (CET) until Saturday, 8 April at 10:00 (CET). European Lung Cancer Congress 2023 programme will be accredited with ESMO-MORA category 1 points.
General information
The European Lung Cancer Congress 2023 Congress is an onsite and online congress, where delegates can decide to attend the congress in Copenhagen or in a virtual format.
The onsite Congress will take place from 29 March to 1 April 2023. Please consult the online programme for all details.
The Virtual Congress Platform opens on 28 March at 12:00 CEST.

Important note:
The Congress and all activities will close on the 28 March 2023. However, the platform will remain available with the on-demand content and exhibition information until 3 April 2023 at 12:00 CEST.
The official programme sessions and industry satellite symposia will be available on-demand on the virtual platform until 3 April 2023 at 12:00 CEST, for all registered participants.
Once the virtual platform is closed, on 3 April, the on-demand content will be transferred to OncologyPRO and will be accessible (where speaker permission is granted) immediately to all registered delegates for 24 months. ESMO Members who did not register for the Congress will have access to the resources 2 months after the end of the it. Whereas, Industry Satellite Symposia and ESMO Colloquia will be available immediately post-Congress on OncologyPRO to all ESMO Members.
Presentation slides and e-Posters will also be available on OncologyPRO for view and download.
Live Q&A feature will be available for most of the sessions according to the programme schedule (see online programme). Both online and onsite participants will be able to ask questions.

Programme activities, abstracts & (e-)Posters
Regular abstracts accepted for presentation at ELCC 2023 will be available in the online programme section on the ESMO website on Thursday, 23 March 2023 at 00:05 CET, and via the Congress Virtual Platform as of 28 March at 12:00 CEST.
Late-breaking abstracts accepted for presentation at ELCC 2023 will be available in the online programme section on the ESMO website on Tuesday, 28 March 2023 at 00:05 CEST, and via the Congress Virtual Platform as of 28 March at 12:00 CEST.
All accepted abstracts will be published in the ELCC 2023 Abstract book, a supplement to the official IASLC journal, Journal of Thoracic Oncology.
Invited speakers and oral presenters (Proffered Paper and Mini Oral) will be contacted in due course by CTI Meeting Technology and provided details about the upload of their presentation slides.

Poster boards allow for the use of double-sided tape only. ESMO will provide double-sided tape in the poster area. Removal of all used tape would be highly appreciated.

It is also mandatory to upload an e-Poster to the European Lung Cancer Congress 2023 Congress virtual platform.
e-Poster presenters will be contacted by CTI Meeting Technology and provided details about the preparation and upload of their electronic posters.
The online programme is accessible via the ESMO website, online programme section. In the “Search” box at the top of the page items may be selected from options including session title, presentation title, final publication number, day, topic, presenter name or keyword.
The programme will also be available via the Congress Virtual Platform as of 28 March at 12:00 CEST.
Paper Posters will be on display in the Exhibition & Poster area for the duration of the Congress.
e-Posters will also be available for view onsite at the e-Poster stations and via the Congress Virtual Platform, in the e-Posters section, as of 28 March at 12:00 CEST.
European Lung Cancer Congress 2023 has been accredited with 21 ESMO-MORA category 1 points. Recertification is necessary for medical oncologists to remain professionally certified by ESMO. It also guarantees that a certified medical oncologist has continued to update her/his knowledge and still possess the necessary skills and standards for the practice of medical oncology.
