The ESMO Deep Dive - Lower Digestive Cancers Webinar Series recordings and slides are available to all ESMO Members.
ESMO Deep Dive: Lower Digestive Cancers – Current Trends in Individualised Radical Therapy of Localised pMMR Rectal Cancer 2023
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in the ESMO webinar on Deep Dive into Lower Digestive Cancers that will elaborate the current trends in individualised radical therapy of localised pMMR rectal cancer.
This webinar is developed with the aim to acquire a deeper understanding of the clinical course of malignant disease of the lower digestive system and understand biological hypotheses on classification and risk stratification, ongoing/required research in therapeutics and knowledge of use of omics technologies for biomarker-enabled precision medicine for lower digestive cancers. Furthermore, the programme will enhance development of skills and abilities for critical analysis, interpretation of research data and therapeutic strategies, as well as becoming better equipped for informed, innovative thinking and engagement in ongoing or new research projects.
I am delighted to announce the distinguished speakers who will join me in this webinar. We will begin with a lecture on the state of the art and ongoing research on total neoadjuvant therapy in rectal cancer in terms of patients’ selection and timing. Then we will cover clinical and biologic insights for omitting radiotherapy in patients with localised rectal cancer. Furthermore, we will elaborate organ preservation, in particular consideration for TEM or watch and wait. The lectures will be followed by live discussion by speaker’s panel.
The programme is designed to provide an overview of the state of the art and ongoing research in individualised radical therapy of localised pMMR rectal cancer. It will offer expert opinion exchange and provide some important considerations for practice and research in this field. I strongly encourage and invite you to register and join us all in this new ESMO activity.
