The ESMO Deep Dive - Breast Cancers Webinar Series recordings and slides are available to all ESMO Members.
ESMO Deep Dive: Breast Cancer – Early Stage HER2-positive Breast Cancer: Hot Topics and Future Trends 2024
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in the ESMO Deep Dive Breast Cancer Webinar on the topic of early stage HER2-positive breast cancer: hot topics and future trends.
This webinar is developed with the aim to provide a second, deeper layer of educational experience in emerging data related to: molecular biology and classification, translational research and biomarkers for precision medicine, and unknowns, hypotheses, and ongoing research in areas of controversy or unmet need for optimal management of patients.
We will begin with a brief welcome and introduction, then a lecture on the clinical relevance of biological subtypes and molecular classifiers. This will be followed by a talk on bringing de-escalation strategies into the routine practice, and lastly, we will discuss whether there is a role for escalation strategies. The lectures will be followed by a live discussion with the speakers’ panel.
This programme is designed to provide an overview of the latest understanding of molecular biology and the impact of targeting different pathways in the management of patients with breast cancers, offer expert opinion exchange and provide some important considerations in this field. I strongly encourage and invite you to register and join us all in this new ESMO activity.

Learning objectives:
- To acquire a deeper understanding of the clinical course of malignant disease of breast cancer.
- To understand biological hypotheses on classification and risk stratification, ongoing/required research in therapeutics and knowledge of use of omics technologies for biomarker-enabled precision medicine for breast cancer.
- To develop skills and abilities for critical analysis, interpretation of research data and therapeutic strategies.
- To become better equipped for informed, innovative thinking and engagement in ongoing or new research projects.
