European Medical Students’ Association
The European Medical Students’ Association - Association Européenne des Étudiants en Médecine (EMSA) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation representing medical students from all across Europe. Founded in 1990 in Brussels, it is the only voice of students within the European Medical Organisations. EMSA is recognised by the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the United Nations.
The association provides a platform for high-level advocacy, projects, trainings, workshops and international meetings. Its activities gather around Medical Education, Medical Ethics and Human Rights, Health Policy, Public Health, Medical Science and European Integration and Culture.
EMSA envisions a united and solidary Europe in which medical students actively promote health.
EMSA empowers medical students to advocate health in all policies, excellence in medical research, interprofessional healthcare education and the protection of human rights across Europe.
We are committed to ensuring the highest standards of healthcare and medical education in a united Europe where medicine is practised in accordance with the highest ethical principles.

University of Valencia
The University of Valencia is one of the oldest universities in Spain, and the oldest in the Valencian Community. It is regarded as one of Spain's leading academic institutions. The University was founded in 1499, and currently has around 55,000 students.
There are three campuses:
- The Burjassot Campus houses the colleges of Biology, Pharmacy, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and the School of Engineering.
- On the Blasco Ibañez Campus the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, Philosophy and Educational Sciences, Psychology, Geography and History, Languages, Physical Education, Physiotherapy and Nursing.
- The third campus, Tarongers, houses the Schools of Law, Economics and Business, Social Sciences, and the School of Elementary Teacher Training, which moved from its previous location near the Blasco Ibañez Campus.
The University is committed to keeping and establishing links with universities world-wide, either through bilateral agreements or by taking part in international programmes and networks.
