COVID-19 regulations
ESMO strongly recommends:
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 or recovery in the last 6 months with at least one dose of a vaccine by the time of the Congress. Vaccination proof will not be checked by ESMO
- Testing for COVID-19 within 48 hours prior to the inbound trip with a molecular, rapid antigen or self-test. The result will not be checked by ESMO
- Wearing a face mask in closed spaces
- Avoid shaking hands
- Washing your hands regularly and using hand sanitiser
Please note that each participant need to follow the specific country COVID-19 regulations approved by the local authorities.
If there is a QR code on your documentation, any language is accepted. Otherwise, the documentation should be in English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish.
No, it is not mandatory to wear a face mask, but it is strongly recommended.

Virtual platform login and access problems
Your email address is your username. If you have more than one email, make sure you use the email used to create your ESMO account. If you need assistance, please contact us.

- On the top right of the page, click Login
- Below the login box, click Forgot password
- Enter your email address and press Reset Password
- Check your email box or SPAM and click on the reset password link
- Create a new password

The link to access ESMO Breast Cancer 2023 will be available on the homepage of the ESMO website, www.esmo.org and in the registration confirmation that you will receive by email.
- Clear your cookies and cache: If you experience any issues accessing the platform we suggest you clear your cookies and cache following the instructions found here (Chrome), here (Firefox), here (Safari) or here (Opera).
- Internet browsers: For the best user-experience ESMO recommends the most recent version of Google Chrome, second to this would be Firefox, Safari and Opera. Internet Explorer is not recommended. Please note that ad blockers can prevent content from loading and new tabs from opening.
- Bandwidth: While there are no access constraints on the virtual platform, it is recommended to have at least a 5mb/s connection for best results with live streaming.
- Firewalls: Content is accessible by default without the need of a VPN. However, ESMO is not responsible for the restrictions of your institute or company internet provider, network or state. In those cases, the use of a VPN is possible, if in line with the legal conditions of your country, internet provider, company or institute.
- Device: The virtual platform is accessible with any device that can connect to the internet through a browser. The experience is fully responsive for any device.
Registration
You will need to have an ESMO account and go through the registration process in order to register for the meeting. Registration fees are published on the ESMO website.

By end April 2023 delegates will receive per email the registration confirmation and instructions on how to access the ESMO Breast Cancer 2023.
The group and third-party registration systems will close on 19 April 2023. After that date, all delegates must register individually through the ESMO Breast Cancer 2023 registration process.
ESMO Breast Cancer 2023 is accessible to certified healthcare professionals, associated press, industry representatives and other stakeholders in the science, management, and prevention of oncological diseases. Registered participants will have access to all official sessions, industry sponsored symposia and exhibition. Participants must be at least 18 years old.

Yes, you will be able to download and print your Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the online evaluation as of Saturday, 13 May, from 10.00 (CEST) until Saturday, 20 May at 10:00 (CEST). The ESMO Breast Cancer 2023 programme has been accredited with 16 ESMO-MORA category 1 points.

ESMO Breast Cancer 2023 is an onsite and online congress, where delegates can decide to attend the congress in Berlin or follow in a virtual format.
The onsite Congress will take place from 11 to 13 May. Please consult the online programme for all details.
The Virtual Congress Platform opens on 10 May at 12:00 CEST.

Important note:
The congress ends on 13 May 2023. However, the platform remains available with the on-demand content and exhibition information until 15 May at 16:00 CEST.

Once the virtual platform is closed, the on-demand content will be transferred to OncologyPRO.

Programme activities, abstracts & e-Posters
All accepted abstracts will be available on the ESMO Breast Cancer 2023 website, in the online programme section and on the Congress virtual platform according to the following publication schedule:
- All regular abstracts accepted for presentation at ESMO Breast Cancer 2023 as Proffered Paper (suffix O), Mini Oral (suffix MO), Poster (suffix P or TiP) will be published online via the ESMO website at 00:05 CEST on Monday, 8 May 2023.
- All Late-breaking abstracts accepted for presentation at ESMO Breast Cancer 2023 as Proffered Paper or Mini Oral (prefix LBA) will be published online via the ESMO website at 00:05 CEST on Wednesday, 10 May 2023. Information about dedicated embargo for official ESMO communication activities will be made available two weeks prior to the congress. All accepted abstracts, including Late-breaking, will be published online in the ESMO Breast Cancer 2023 Abstract Book, a supplement to ESMO Open.

The online programme is accessible via the ESMO website, online programme section. In the “Search” box at the top of the page items may be selected from options including session title, presentation title, final publication number, day, topic, presenter name or keyword.
The programme will also be available via the virtual platform as of 10 May.
These sessions will consist of a mix of live (onsite) and pre-recorded presentations.
Most of the sessions will also be followed by live discussion and Q&A, in which delegates can ask questions via a chat feature (if online). Once the presentations have terminated, the session chairs will lead and moderate the discussion having selected the most interesting or popular questions from the chat.
Posters will be on display in the exhibition area for the whole duration of the Congress.
e-Posters will also be available for view onsite at e-Poster stations from 11 May and on the virtual platform, in the e-Posters section, as of 10 May at 12:00 CEST.
The ESMO Breast Cancer 2023 programme has been accredited with 16 ESMO-MORA category 1 points. Recertification is necessary for medical oncologists to remain professionally certified by ESMO. It also guarantees that a certified medical oncologist has continued to update her/his knowledge and still possess the necessary skills and standards for the practice of medical oncology.
