Accommodation is included in the registration fee unless otherwise specified at the time of booking. ESMO will book a 2-night stay in a double room single use and inform the participant of the name of the hotel by the first week of August.
The ESMO Academy 2024 programme has been accredited with 17 ESMO-MORA category 1 points. Recertification is necessary for medical oncologists to remain professionally certified by ESMO. It also guarantees that a certified medical oncologist has continued to update her/his knowledge and still possess the necessary skills and standards for the practice of medical oncology. The badge is the only official evidence of registration, thus, participants not wearing their badge do not have access to the Academy.
All participants are entitled to receive a Certificate of Attendance after the Academy. The Certificate can be downloaded either from the SpotMe App under the tab “Evaluation Questionnaire” or from the ESMO website only upon completion of the online evaluation form. Delegates will have one week to access the ESMO website in the Academy section and print it from home. You will need the ESMO Username and Password to log in and then complete the evaluation questionnaire.
The Academy content is the copyright of ESMO. It is strictly forbidden to record or capture in any way the Course programme and display area.
The First Aid is available on call through the registration desk.

The official ESMO Academy app is developed by SpotMe and called “ESMO Academy”. Participants will receive an e-mail with the link to download the App and the activation code, approximately 10 days before the ESMO Academy starts. It is highly recommended for all participants to download the ESMO Academy App to be informed about all activities and logistical info. The official language of the ESMO Academy is English. Sessions will not be translated.

The safety of all Congress attendees is of utmost importance to ESMO.
Safety advice when attending a Congress:
- Always remove your Congress badge upon leaving the venue
- Be vigilant in crowds, restaurants and on public transportation; watch out for people creating distractions and diversions
- Be careful not to leave your luggage unattended in any public place, including the hotel and Congress venue; keep your personal belongings with you, both inside and outside the venue
The ESMO Academy and the concomitant display area have been designated as no/ smoking events throughout the entire venue, including all Course rooms, functions, registration and catering areas.
All delegates are kindly required to respect the no/ smoking policy.
Speakers should deliver and check their presentation at the Speaker Centre located in Room KO2-F-172, no later than 2 hours before the start their session. Speakers are kindly asked to keep their presentation within the given time limits, including discussion time.

The building KOL is in the city centre and less than 1 km from Zurich HB which is the main train station.
The meeting webcasts will be available for all delegates and will include all the sessions of the official programme where speaker permission is granted. Once the meeting has finished, the webcasts will be available on OncologyPRO from 19 August 2024 and will be accessible to all registered delegates (both ESMO members and non-members) and all non-registered ESMO Members for 2 years. The session will be available with audio and slides only.
