ESMO strongly recommends:
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 or recovery in the last 6 months with at least one dose of a vaccine by the time of the Congress. Vaccination proof will not be checked by ESMO
- Testing for COVID-19 within 48 hours prior to the inbound trip with a molecular, rapid antigen or self-test. The result will not be checked by ESMO
- Wearing a face mask in closed spaces
- Avoid shaking hands
- Washing your hands regularly and using hand sanitiser
Please note that each participant need to follow the specific country COVID-19 regulations approved by the local authorities.
No, it is not mandatory to wear a face mask, but it is strongly recommended.
Registration
You will need to have an ESMO account and go through the registration process in order to register for the meeting. Registration fees are published on the ESMO website. Priority will be given to attendees registered for the ESMO 2023 Examination and ESMO Members.

If you are not a Member but would like to join ESMO and you meet the Membership requirements, you can do so now. Please note that it may take a few minutes to activate your Membership and then you may proceed to registration.
Reimbursements for individuals who decide to become a Member after paying the registration fee will not be made.

Priority will be given to attendees registered for the ESMO 2023 Examination and ESMO Members. Thereafter, the remaining places will be first come, first served.

Confirmation of registration will be sent via email to all pre-registered participants by end-July.

Yes, you will be able to download and print your Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the online evaluation from Sunday, 20 August at 10:00 AM (CEST). The ESMO Academy 2023 programme will be accredited with ESMO-MORA category 1 points.

ESMO Academy 2023 is taking place in Zurich, Switzerland.
It will take place from 18 to 20 August 2023. Please consult the online programme for all details.

Yes, the official app is called “ESMO Academy”. Participants will receive an e-mail with the link to download the App and the activation code, approximately 10 days before the ESMO Academy starts. It is highly recommended for all participants to download the ESMO Academy App to be informed about all activities and logistical info. More information about ESMO Academy mobile app can be found here.

The ESMO Academy 2023 mobile application is available for Apple devices running iOS 11 or newer and for Android devices running 5 Android Lollipop or newer.
To check if your Apple iOS device is compatible:
Navigate to Settings -> General -> About | Scroll down to Version. If you are not running iOS 11 or higher, you should update before attempting to install the app: go to Settings -> Software Update or connect your device to iTunes.
To check if your Android device is compatible:
Navigate to Settings -> About device | Scroll down to Version. If you are not running Android 5 or higher, you should update your Android operating system before attempting to install the app. Please note Kindle Fires are not supported at the moment.
Programme activities
You can access the online programme via the ESMO website (Programme section). In the “Search” box at the top of the page you may select from options including session title, presentation title, final publication number, day, topic or presenter name.
The meeting webcasts (slides and audio) will be available a few days after the meeting ends and will include all the sessions of the official programme where speaker permission is granted. The webcast will be available on OncologyPRO and will be accessible to all registered delegates and all ESMO Members non-registered delegates for 2 years. The session will be available with audio and slides only.
ESMO-MORA: The ESMO Academy 2023 programme has been accredited with 17 Cat. 1 ESMO MORA points. Recertification is necessary for medical oncologists to remain professionally certified by ESMO. It also guarantees that a certified medical oncologist has continued to update her/his knowledge and still possess the necessary skills and standards for the practice of medical oncology.
