COVID-19 regulations
To enter the congress venue, faculty, delegates, sponsors and staff will be required to show:
- A certificate providing evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19 with or without a third booster, with a vaccine approved by WHO (the list can be found here) OR
- A certificate showing proof of recovery from COVID-19 in the last 6 months with at least one dose of a WHO-approved vaccine administered at any timepoint
The certificate check is done at first entry to the venue only, before the registration badge collection.
Additionally, for all is strongly recommended:
- Testing for SARS COV2 within 48 hours prior to the inbound trip with a molecular, rapid antigen or self-test. The result will not be checked by ESMO
- Wearing a face mask in closed spaces
- During the event get tested if you have any symptom
- Wash and sanitise your hands regularly
- Avoid hand-shaking
Please note that each participant need to follow the specific country COVID-19 regulations approved by the local authorities, if more restrictive than the ESMO regulations.
If there is a QR code on your documentation, any language is accepted. Otherwise, the documentation should be in English, French, German or Italian.
No, it is not mandatory to wear a face mask, but it is strongly recommended.

Registration
You will need to have an ESMO account and go through the registration process and choose one location where you want to attend: in Dublin or in Prague. Registration fees are published on the ESMO website.

If you are not a Member but would like to join ESMO and you meet the Membership requirements, you can do so now. Please note that it may take a few minutes to activate your Membership and then you may proceed to registration.
Reimbursements for individuals who decide to become a Member after paying the registration fee will not be made.
The registration system will close when the maximum capacity is reached.

Priority will be given to attendees registered for the ESMO 2022 Examination and ESMO Members. Thereafter, the remaining places will be first come, first served.

Confirmation of registration will be sent via email to all pre-registered participants end-July.

Yes, you will be able to download and print your Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the online evaluation from Sunday, 21 August at 10:00 (CEST). The ESMO Academy 2022 programme will be accredited with ESMO-MORA category 1 points.
General information
ESMO Academy 2022 is taking place in simultaneously in Dublin, Ireland and in Prague, Czech Republic.
It will take place from 19 to 21 August 2022. Please consult the online programme for all details.
The meeting webcasts will be available a few days after the meeting end and will include all the sessions of the official programme where speaker permission is granted. the webcasts will be available on OncologyPRO and will be accessible to all registered delegates and all ESMO Members, non-Member delegates for 24 months. The session will be available with audio and slides only.

Yes, the official app is called ESMO Academy. Every participants should download it to be informed about the ESMO Academy 2022 activities and logistical info. Participants will receive an email with the link to download the App a few day before the event starts. More information about ESMO Academy mobile app can be found here.
Delegates using their own device will need to install the ESMO Academy App. Participants will receive an event access code in a separate e-mail in August.

The ESMO Academy 2022 mobile application is available for Apple devices running iOS 11 or newer and for Android devices running 5 (lollipop) or newer.
To check if your Apple iOS device is compatible:
Navigate to Settings -> General -> About | Scroll down to Version. If you are not running iOS 11 or higher, you should update before attempting to install the app: go to Settings -> Software Update or connect your device to iTunes.

Navigate to Settings -> About device | Scroll down to Version. If you are not running Android 5 or higher, you should update your Android operating system before attempting to install the app. Please note Kindle Fires are not supported at the moment.
Programme activities
You can access the online programme via the ESMO website (Programme section). In the “Search” box at the top of the page you may select from options including session title, presentation title, final publication number, day, topic or presenter name.

Once the meeting has finished, the webcasts will be available on OncologyPRO and will be accessible to all registered delegates and all ESMO Members, non-Member delegates for 24 months.
ESMO-MORA: The ESMO Academy 2022 programme has been accredited with 18 Cat. 1 ESMO MORA points. Recertification is necessary for medical oncologists to remain professionally certified by ESMO. It also guarantees that a certified medical oncologist has continued to update her/his knowledge and still possess the necessary skills and standards for the practice of medical oncology.
