This year we are pleased to announce a new type of session developed with the Practising Oncologists Working Group – giving you the opportunity to discuss clinical cases on solid tumours with oncology experts, look at patterns of care from a practice perspective and share your own experience.
The session is free to attend; however, you have to register beforehand since seats are very limited*
Now closed for further registrations. If you have registered to attend, you will be informed shortly if your participation is confirmed or if you are on waiting list.
Saturday 9 September 2017, 09:30-10:30, room 1 & 2 (North Centre)
Chair: Claudia Cardone, IT
This new type of session is intended as highly interactive round table discussions on clinical cases on solid tumours, for a small group of attendees.
The expert presenters in each of the three topics will expose scenarios and guide the discussion along with a coordinator. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the general approach to a specific clinical case within the area they have chosen and then share their own experience from similar cases.
Details about each clinical case will be sent to participants together with the registration confirmation, in late August. Attendees will be required to prepare questions and discussion points beforehand (these will be presented orally only; no slides or other documents will be necessary).
Choice of topics:
-
Metastatic colorectal cancer
Speaker: Erika Martinelli, IT; Coordinator: Claudia Cardone, IT
-
Unknown primary carcinoma
Speaker: George Pentheroudakis, GR ; Coordinator: Michalis Karamouzis, GR
-
Breast cancer, adjuvant setting
Speaker: Olivia Pagani, CH; Coordinator: Radu Vidra, RO
*Please note that registration is necessary and binding. A waiting list will be set up once the session capacity is reached. Therefore, if you have registered but are not able to attend, you must inform ESMO by sending an email to yoc@esmo.org no later than 48 hours before the start of the session. In case of no-show or cancellation without valid reason, you will not be able to register to sessions of this type for a period of five years.
