From basic science to disease treatment, from supportive and palliative care to affordability of drugs, presentations cover a wide range of topics including immunotherapy of cancer, health economics and developmental therapeutics.
Integrating science into oncology for a better patient outcome is the motto for ESMO 2017, held in partnership with the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR). The meeting will bring together cancer researchers and clinicians, to enable collaboration and exchange of ideas, from the laboratory to the bedside and back.
This year, the total of submitted abstracts was 3260, of which 1736 were selected for presentation at ESMO 2017.
Accepted abstracts were assigned to the following categories of sessions:
- Oral: 82
- Poster display and discussion: 1599 abstracts
There were 55 accepted Late Breaking Abstract (LBA) submissions, out of which seven will be presented in Presidential Symposia.
