An increasing number of fraudulent websites and individuals are impersonating ESMO and our Congress. We are aware of a company called HICORD/Holiday India in particular. We would like to alert our members and delegates to be aware of possible scams and advise you that THE only way to register is by the ESMO Congress registration system, accessible via this website.

ESMO member registration
To register as an ESMO member benefit from the reduced fee, your full ESMO ID number must be provided during the registration process. Prior to registering for the Congress, please verify that the status of your membership is “active” and includes eligibility for preferential congress fees. For more information, please review the Registration Terms & Conditions.
Invitation letter for visa application
Individuals can download their electronic invitation letter via the online registration system. To download/receive the invitation letter, participants must first register to the Congress and pay in full. For special invitation letters please contact registration@esmo.org.
Please check your visa requirements, and in which country you need to apply, by contacting your nearest Danish Embassy or Danish Consulate. Information on entry requirements and whether you need a visa for Denmark can be found here. Visas should be applied for well in advance of your intended departure date. Please note that while we wish to assist our delegates by providing the visa invitation letter, we do not contact the Embassy or Consulate on behalf of delegates and we are not in a position to influence Embassy / Consulate procedures or decisions.
The invitation letter does not commit ESMO to any financial obligations whatsoever. All expenses incurred in relation to the Congress are the sole responsibility of the delegate. For more information please review the Registration Terms & Conditions.
Confirmation of registration / Scan & GO
Confirmation of registration will be sent via email to all preregistered participants approximately one month before the start of the Congress. The confirmation is the only official document that certifies registration for the Congress and this document must be shown on-site in order to receive the Congress registration material. Registration material may be collected from Friday, 7 October 2016.
At the beginning of September you will receive an email confirming your registration with a barcode (only if payment has been settled). This mail will have to be printed out and handed over at the Scan & GO desk when you arrive at the Congress venue. Registration material may be collected from Friday, 7 October 2016.
In case this mail will not arrive in your inbox, please check your spam folder. If you will not receive the confirmation then contact us (select 'Event') immediately.
Congress webcasts
The webcasts of the Congress will include all the sessions of the official programme, where speaker permission is granted, and will be made available within 48 hours on:
- OncologyPRO for ESMO members
- The ESMO website for six months after the Congress for delegates who paid the webcast fee.
Delegates can purchase the webcast package onsite at the registration desks for 40 Euros (VAT included).
Important: keep your badge as you will be requested to enter your badge ID code and last name to log in.
Certificate of Attendance
Certificate of Attendance will be available online from Monday morning 10 October. You will have one month to access the ESMO web in the Congress section and print it from home. Before obtaining your Certificate of Attendance, you will be requested to enter your badge ID code and last name to log in as well as complete the evaluation questionnaire. It is therefore important to retain the delegate badge for this purpose.
The Certificate of Attendance will indicate the maximum number of credit points (1 credit point per 1 hour of programme attended up to a maximum of 6 credits per day) related to the Congress. However, it is the participant’s responsibility to complete the Certificate of Attendance with the number of hours of scientific programme (= number of credit points) that he/she has actually attended.
Badge
The badge is the only official evidence of registration, thus, participants not wearing their badge do not have access to the Congress. Loss of badge is loss of registration and a new badge will be issued only upon payment of the pro-rata fee.
