Late programme changes
Some late changes to the programme are not reflected in the onsite printed Programme Book. Please see here for details.
PLEASE NOTE: The online programme and the programme in the ESMO event app are up to date and include all late changes.
Accreditation
CME: The congress programme will be submitted for accreditation to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found online here.
ESMO-MORA: The congress programme will also be submitted for ESMO-MORA category 1 points accreditation. Recertification is necessary for medical oncologists to remain professionally certified by ESMO. It also guarantees that a certified medical oncologist has continued to update her/his knowledge and still possess the necessary skills and standards for the practice of medical oncology. See here for further details.
Webcasts
The congress webcasts will include all sessions of the official programme where speaker permission is granted.
All ESMO members will be able to access the congress webcast via OncologyPRO. They will also be available online for the first 6 months following the congress to all delegates who elect to pay the additional webcast fee. After this period the webcast will be removed from the ESMO website.
ESMO Examination
Every year ESMO organises an examination which is open to ESMO Full and Junior members and members of the German and Swiss professional societies (AIO and DGHO, Germany and FMH, Switzerland). The certificate allows ESMO Full and Junior members who successfully pass the exam to participate in the ESMO Medical Oncologist’s Recertification Approval (ESMO MORA). During the congress, the examination session will take place on Saturday, 8 October 2016. See here for more information.
