The scientific committee also presented the ESMO Guidelines for the Diagnosis, Treatment and Follow up on NSCLC” developed through the first European Consensus Conference on different aspects and challenging issues in this disease that encompass many entities on the basis of diversified pathobiology.
The conference was an excellent opportunity to interact with expert speakers and international peers while learning about integrated approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
EMCTO offers an educational interaction for physicians of all medical disciplines dealing with lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies. The number of diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients with thoracic malignancies has markedly increased, allowing for an individualised approach based on the clinical situation and molecular characteristics of the tumour. How to best select among these options for the benefit of the patients within an integrative treatment approach will be at the core of the conference.
