The International Education Initiative on Molecular Targeted Therapy of Cancer (MTTC) has continued to provide high quality medical education for oncologists over a series of 10 International MTTC workshops.
International Workshops have been acknowledged and certified by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME/UEMS), the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE/FECS) and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO). Since 2006, the workshops have been organised in partnership with the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the Biotherapy Development Association (BDA).
An exciting educational programme was developed for this workshop – the 1.5 day scientific programme presented educational sessions with a focus on:
- Antibody-Based Therapy
- Targeting the EGF Receptor Family
- Non-EGFR Signal Transduction Inhibition
- Immunotherapy
- Angiogenesis Inhibition
Current knowledge in various fields of MTTC and new findings from the ASCO 2010 meeting were condensed into educational talks, highlight lectures and interactive sessions. There was plenty of time allocated for intensive discussion by the participants with the faculty, a distinguished group of international experts representing different disciplines and expertise.
