Application is via online form. During the application process you will be required to upload the following:
- Your CV including a list of your publications
- 3-5 slides presenting a clinical case (please use the ESMO Preceptorship Case Presentation Power Point template, provided here)
While this course is primarily aimed at oncologists resident in the sub-Saharan countries, application is open to all ESMO members.
To apply, ESMO membership is mandatory. If you are not an ESMO member or need to renew your membership, please visit the ESMO membership pages. Kindly note that the ESMO membership must be active ten (10) days prior to the application deadline and that the ESMO membership approval takes up to 10 business days.
The annual Membership fee is waived for professionals working in low and middle-income countries (more information available here).
In addition to the course registration and the hotel accommodation, a travel grant of maximum 1000 euros is offered to non-local participants as a contribution versus their travel costs. The reimbursement will be processed after the course against original invoices/vouchers. Please be aware that visa costs are NOT covered by the travel grant and are the participant's responsibility.
The programme of this event has been accredited with 9 ESMO-MORA category 1 points. Recertification is necessary for medical oncologists to remain professionally certified by ESMO. Recertification guarantees that a certified medical oncologist has continued to update her/his knowledge and continues to possess the necessary skills and standards for the practice of medical oncology. It is each participant’s responsibility to check and comply with the latest health and travel regulations to ensure a smooth and safe journey from the Country of origin to the event venue, and back.
During the event, ESMO will apply health and safety protocols according to the latest local authority guidelines and regulations.
In general, ESMO recommends:
- to apply health precautions and measures according to formal guidance and personal medical history
- to stay up to date with the vaccination status
- to perform a Rapid Antigen Test and wear a mask in case of symptoms
Hand sanitisers will be available throughout the venue; the use of mask is at own discretion in the absence of symptoms.
