Application criteria
- The course is reserved to fourth and fifth-year medical students (undergraduates)
- Applicants must be ESMO members (undergraduate students benefit from free ESMO Membership). The ESMO Membership must be active seven (7) days prior to the application deadline*
- Students must be fluent in English
- Attendance for the entire duration of the course is mandatory
*Kindly note that the ESMO Membership approval takes between 3-5 business days
You will need to provide the following information to support your application:
- Full curriculum vitae (with list of publications)
- Letter of motivation for attending the course (max. 300 words)
- Letter of recommendation/support from your Head of Department/mentor
Application
Application for the course will open at the end of January.
Selection of participants
- All application will be assessed by ESMO
- Students will be selected on a competitive basis
- Free registration to the courses and accommodation (including meals) is offered
- Each student will receive a travel grant. Travel is to be organised by the student (ESMO will provide the grant AFTER the course)
Requirements
Participants are required to bring their own laptop, tablet or smartphone to the course to be able to access the course material electronically.
Health and Safety Regulations
It is each participant's responsibility to check and comply with the latest health and travel regulations to ensure a smooth and safe journey from the Country of origin to the event venue, and back.
During the event, ESMO will apply health and safety protocols according to the latest local authority guidelines and regulations.
In general, ESMO recommends:
- To apply health precautions and measures according to formal guidance and personal medical history
- To stay up to date with the vaccination status
- To perform a Rapid Antigen Test and wear a mask in case of symptoms
Hand sanitisers will be available throughout the venue; the use of mask is at own discretion in the absence of symptoms.
