The Tumor Center Aarau in an integrated Medical Oncology - Hematology - Palliative Care - Radiotherapy Institution providing out-patient and in-patient care. A Palliative Care specialist leads a multiprofessional team including nurses, social workers, psycho-oncologists, chaplains, nutritional specialists, physiotherapists.
Profile
Emphasis is placed on comprehensive care for cancer patients in all stages and evolutions of cancer. We are particularly interested in early integration of palliative care in management of cancer patients according to international guidelines and contribute to research studies aiming to better identify needs and support patients and their close ones.
