The Clinical Oncology Department of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital is a comprehensive oncology centre under the Hospital Authority of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China.
We provide a full spectrum of non-surgical cancer treatments to cancer patients including active oncological treatment and holistic palliative care.

Our centre provides full spectrum non-surgical cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and holistic palliative care.
We see about 3000 new cancer patients per year. Our medical team is composed of registered oncology specialists with some of them holding double qualifications of clinical oncology and palliative medicine. Nurses at our oncology centre are also trained in both oncology and palliative care.
Our centre is well equipped with comprehensive facilities for chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Our radiotherapy facilities include: Linear accelerator with image guided facility (on board KV imaging, cone beam CT), 4D CT simulator for breathing management, stereotactic radiotherapy facility, high dose rate brachytherapy, radioisotope therapy.
We have a day Chemotherapy Centre providing chemotherapy infusion service. We also have a Palliative Day Care Centre offering multidisciplinary out-patient treatment, day care and home care.

Our centre offer treatment (chemotherapy, radiotherapy and palliative care) for a wide spectrum of cancers.
The cancer types we treat include: head & neck cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, cancer of the gastrointestinal tract (oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, hepatobiliary, colorectal), gynaecological cancer, urological cancer, central nervous tumours and lymphoma etc.
Modern radiotherapy techniques (including imaged guided radiotherapy, intensity modulated radiotherapy) are readily available.
We also offer systemic anti-cancer drug treatment (including cytotoxic drugs, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and hormonal therapy).
We have a multidisciplinary palliative care team providing holistic palliative care service.
Palliative and Supportive Care
Our centre offers a holistic palliative care service.
Our scope of service includes in-patient care, out-patient clinic, day care service and home hospice care.
Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of palliative care specialist, palliative nurse specialist, home care nurse, medical social worker, chaplain and dietitian.
We have strong support from the psychiatrist and clinical psychologist. We also have a well trained team of volunteers who provide support for patients in hospital, day centre and at home.
We have liaison with charity organizations which offer additional community home support and bereavement service.
