History
Genolier Clinic opened its doors in 1972. It is the principal clinic of the Swiss Medical Network where 230 doctors and 340 paramedical and administrative staff work. It is one of the biggest private clinics in Switzerland.
The Genolier Clinic has an excellent national and international reputation thanks to its Oncology, Surgery and Cardiology Departments.
Profile
The Oncology Department comprises 4 main areas: Inpatient and Outpatient services, the Breast Cancer Centre and the Supportive Care Unit.
The clinical team is composed of our oncologists (Dr Aapro, Dr Kirchner, Dre Führmann, Dr Helg, Dr Montemurro and Dr Torralvo), radiation oncologists (Dr Matzinger, Dr Lestrade, Dr Consinschi), oncology nurses, supportive care doctor (Dre Schönnagel), psychology team lead by Dr Camprubi, physiotheraphists, occupational therapists, a medical dietician, a pastoral care specialist and a social worker.

Palliative and Supportive Care
Supportive Care and Palliative medicine has a wide-ranging role in our spectrum of comprehensive cancer care - from patient diagnosis to survivorship. All the multidisciplinary care team has an important role in providing palliative care in inpatient and outpatient settings. An effective supportive and palliative medicine improves patient and family care and quality of life, reduces distress and discomfort, and is cost-effective.
