Training Experience Required

Basic expertise in internal medicine and medical oncology, ideally basic expertise and knowledge in the conduct of clinical trials and trial methodology. Experience in the treatment of a broad field of solid and hematological malignancies.

General Description

St.Gallen Cantonal Hospital is a referal center for Eastern Switzerland covering a population of 1 Mio, with >800 inpatient beds, and excellence in all major fields of patient care. St.Gallen Cantonal Hospital includes a renowed cancer clinic that covers both solid and hematological malignancies.

Expertise

The cancer clinics has close to 30'000 outpatient visits/yr, and we a strong clinical research focus in thoracic, urogenital, breast cancer, myeloma and phase-1 early drug development in both solid and hematological malignancies.

Facilities

KSSG cancer clinic hosts a larger clinical research unit running 60 clinical trials at a time, with a strong focus as described above. The clinic also hosts basic research lab groups with a focus on myeloma and immuno-oncology. The clinical is interested to host fellows with an interest in clinical and translational research.
