Gustave Roussy, Europe's largest cancer center, is seeking an innovative and dynamic leader for its Rare Circulating Cells Core Facility, with a special focus on circulating tumor cells (CTC). This exciting opportunity places you at the heart of groundbreaking cancer research within the AMMICa unit (Molecular Analysis, Modeling and Imaging of Cancer), a cutting-edge research hub that unites expertsfrom Gustave Roussy, Paris-Saclay University, CNRS, and INSERM.
The AMMICa unit is at the forefront of cancer research, integrating 11 core facilities that collaborate seamlessly with Gustave Roussy’s hospital and research units to accelerate scientific discovery, drive thedevelopment of novel cancer therapies, and improve patient outcomes. Your leadership will directly influence cutting-edge work in cancer progression, innovative drug mechanisms, and personalized patientcare.

Qualifications:
- PhD (essential)
- HDR (French habilitation to supervise research), either obtained or in progress.
- Expertise in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and a deep understanding of cancer progression.
- Familiarity with technologies for analyzing rare events and experience leading R&D projects, particularly in single-cell analysis.
- Proven ability to manage a research laboratory, including overseeing teams of researchers, engineers,and students.
- Experience with quality procedures ensuring reliable, reproducible results.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (physicians, researchers, industry).
- Fluent or proficient in English (written and spoken).
- A strong publication record and experience presenting research at national and international scientific forums.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Development: Shape the future of cancer research by developing cutting-edge research axes aligned with Gustave Roussy’s strategic objectives.
- Funding & Grant Applications: Lead initiatives to secure funding for transformative cancer research through both public and private grants.
- CTC Innovation: Drive the development and application of advanced tools for CTC characterization,contributing to innovative clinical trials (e.g., tyrosine kinase inhibitors, antibody-drug conjugates,bispecific antibodies).
- Translational Research: Oversee clinical studies alongside physicians and clinical teams to identify predictive biomarkers and explore mechanisms of drug resistance.
- Extracellular Vesicle Analysis: Implement and expand analysis techniques for extracellular vesicles, supporting clinical trial applications.
- Scientific Leadership: Contribute to the scientific community through high-impact publications and presentations at leading conferences.
