The ESMO Real World Data and Digital Health Working Group is a multidisciplinary expert group that has been established to map the evolving landscape of real world data (RWD), digital health, and artificial intelligence (AI) activities within oncology. The group is dedicated to developing methodological tools, frameworks, and educational activities that support the integration of these resources into clinical practice.
Activities and responsibilities
- Map RWD, digital health, and AI activities: Identify and track ongoing initiatives and trends within the field to better inform the society’s strategic focus and recommendations.
- Create methodological tools and frameworks: Develop standardised guidances and resources to enhance the integration of RWD and digital health into oncology practice and decision-making.
- Develop educational programmes on RWD and digital health in oncology for ESMO members: Curate educational content tailored to members, promoting best practices in the application of these resources in clinical settings.
- Produce position papers on RWD and digital health: Provide authoritative perspectives to guide the ethical and effective use of these innovations in oncology.
- Implement scientific collaborations with selected stakeholders: Engage in targeted partnerships to advance research and drive impactful contributions.
