The ESMO Practicing Oncologists Working Group (POWG) identifies challenges encountered by oncologists in their clinical practice, devises innovative solutions, and furnishes implementation strategies and practical resources to address the daily clinical requirements of practicing oncologists.
The Working Group places particular emphasis on bridging the evidence gap between patients enrolled in highly selective randomized clinical trials and those treated in real-world settings through pragmatic implementation strategies. The group primarily serves the needs of oncologists working outside tertiary cancer centers, those treating multiple tumor types, and all members seeking practical tools and content focused on real-world clinical practice.
