ESMO Communication Committee

The ESMO Communication Committee is a permanent body of the Society, responsible for the strategic overview, integration and alignment of all communications at ESMO, and works to guarantee the correct positioning and recognition of ESMO as the voice of medical oncology.

Activities and responsibilities

  • Advocate for and warrant a consistent organisation-wide communication approach through a variety of owned and paid channels and tools
  • Oversee the design and delivery of the Society’s communications plan supporting the Society’s main strategic objectives
  • Carry out regular reviews of the Society’s communications (by assessing communication needs, design research projects (and related publications) that can benefit the community
  • Provide reliable and independent information and commentary on current medical oncology, cancer and cancer-related issues to allow the community to develop an educated judgement.
  • Provides regular communication workshops and training for key Society’s spokespeople including the members of the Executive Board and Council.
