Dr. Yüksel Ürün, Professor of Medical Oncology at Ankara University, has dedicated his career to advancing cancer care and research, particularly in genitourinary cancers. Since joining Ankara University in 2009, he has worked to improve outcomes for patients and contribute to the oncology community. His fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, under the guidance of Dr. Toni Choueiri, provided invaluable experience in precision medicine and innovative cancer treatments.

Committed to collaboration and progress, Dr. Ürün founded the Turkish Oncology Group Kidney Cancer Consortium (TKCC) and actively contributes to global initiatives, including the EORTC Genitourinary Cancer Group, the APCCC, and the ESMO Genitourinary Tumors Faculty. He was honored to participate in ASCO’s Leadership Development Program (2023–2024), which further enhanced his ability to serve the oncology field.

Dr. Ürün's work focuses on biomarkers, precision medicine, and treatment outcomes in genitourinary cancers. With over 150 publications and active involvement in clinical trials, he strives to bridge research and patient care. A strong advocate for diversity, he is dedicated to ensuring equitable cancer care by promoting greater representation of underserved populations in clinical research.
