Professor Volkmar Müller is the deputy director at the Department of Gynecology and University Breast Center, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). Among a number of positions within professional societies, Volkmar is Co-chair of the AGO-Breast clinical study group of the Society of Gynaecologic Oncology and a member of the translational research and the metastatic boards of the German Breast Group (GBG). Volkmar has a longstanding expertise in breast cancer and brain metastasis, has coordinated numerous clinical studies on breast cancer and has published over 350 Pubmed listed publications. Focus of research are brain metastases of breast cancer and another key interest is patient involvement in guideline development and implementation.
