Valentina Gambardella

Valentina Gambardella received her Medical Degree from the Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli, Naples, Italy in 2008. At the same University she started her Fellowship in Medical Oncology that finished in July 2014. She received an ESMO Translational Research Fellowship and in October 2014 she joined the INCLIVA Biomedical Research Institute of Hospital Clinico de Valencia, Spain. She started a translational research project focused on mechanisms of primary and acquired resistance in HER2 amplified gastric cancer, which was finally also the object of her PhD programme that was finalised on March 2018.
Currently, Dr Gambardella is also deeply involved in the precision medicine unit and in the Phase I Unit, actively participating in several clinical research projects in early drug development. In Jan 2019, she was awarded with a Rio Hortega Grant by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, the Spanish Agency funding and promoting health research.
