Thierry Alcindor

Dr Thierry Alcindor obtained his medical degree at Université d’État d’Haïti, then trained in Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology at Yale-New Haven Medical Center and Tufts-New England Medical Center, respectively, in the USA. He also holds a Master’s degree in Experimental Therapeutics from the University of Oxford (UK.)
He is currently Director of the Division of Medical Oncology and Associate Director for Clinical Trials in Oncology at the McGill University Health Centre, and Associate Professor of Medicine and Oncology at McGill University in Montreal (Canada). His research portfolio includes investigator-initiated studies as well as trials sponsored by cooperative groups and industry.
He is co-chair of the Esophago-Gastric Disease-Oriented Group of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG) and a member of the National Cancer Institute (US) Task Force for Gastro-Esophageal Cancers. In addition, he is part of a panel for gastro-esophageal cancers at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and belongs to the Faculty (Education Committee) of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) in its Gastro-Intestinal Track.
