Susen Burock received her medical degree at the University of Ulm, Germany in 2003.
After working in the department for General Surgery at the St. Josef Hospital Ruhr University Bochum she decided to focus on oncological surgery and moved to Berlin where she worked at the department of Surgery and Surgical Oncology of the Charité University of Berlin. In 2008 the Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center was founded and she worked on the implementation of the central coordination units Clinical Trial Unit, Second Opinion, Cancer Registry and Quality Management.
From 2012-2014 she worked as a fellow on public-private partnerships with the main focus on academia industry cooperation in clinical trials and drug development at the EORTC HQ in Brussels.
Since 2014 she is the coordinating physician at the Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center in Berlin, the head of the clinical trial unit of the CCCC and the head of the EORTC liaison office in Germany.
Within this position she is responsible for conducting early and late phase clinical trials and coordinates the submission of clinical trials of the EORTC to German ethical committees.
