Shira Peleg Hasson

Shira Peleg Hasson is a young oncologist graduated from Tel Aviv University, Israel. She was awarded best MD thesis for her research entitled "Klotho’s structure-function relationship: Is enzymatic activity essential for growth inhibitory activity in human breast cancer cells?".
Shira completed her residency in medical oncology at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and graduated MPH degree from Tel Aviv University. She has practiced as a Consultant Oncologist at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center since 2019 focusing on gynaecological malignancies and breast cancer patients.
Shira was awarded with the Ruth Parasol fellowship grant and is currently completing a clinical research fellowship in the Gynae unit at The Royal Marsden hospital, under the supervision of Dr Susana Banerjee.
Shira has led a number of research projects, leading to publications in prestigious journals and presented at international forums.
She is an ESMO and ISCORT (Israel Society for Clinical Oncology and Radiation Therapy) member. In addition to her clinical activities, her research includes the clinical and translational study of low grade ovarian cancer.
