Paolo Bossi is a Medical Oncologist, Associate Professor at the Università degli Studi di Brescia and ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia.

He received his medical degree from the University of Milan in 2001, and his oncology specialisation in 2005.

He is involved in several institutional research activities on head and neck cancer, and on skin cancer (squamos and basal cell cancer and adnexal cancer), from translational research (gene expression, next generation sequencing) to assessment of quality of life and value based medicine.

He is particularly dedicated to rare cancer including paranasal sinus cancers, nasopharyngeal cancer and salivary gland cancer. He has a strong commitment to supportive care, specifically for what concerns mucositis induced by cancer therapies, since he is the chair of Mucositis study group at MASCC (Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer). He is also president of NICSO (Network Italiano di Cure di Supporto in Oncologia). He is involved in research and education projects of ESMO e EORTC. He has obtained several fundings for studies of indipendent research (Governament research, AIRC, ERA Personalized Medicine) and for Investigator Initiated trials (in oral cavity cancer, larynx, nasopharynx, paranasal sinus and in supportive care).
