Paloma Martín studied Medicine at Leiden University (The Netherlands) where she graduated in 2003. She moved to Spain in 2004, where she completed her residency in Medical Oncology at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia (Spain). She obtained her Medical Oncology diploma in 2008.
She worked for 3 years at Hospital Francesc de Borja (Gandía, Spain) and returned in 2011 to Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia (Spain) where she is currently active in the lung and breast cancer area.
She was an active member of ESMO’s Practicing Oncologists group (former Community Oncology Working Group) between 2010 and 2014. ESMO member since 2007, she is also a Spanish Medical Oncology Society (SEOM) member. She passed her ESMO examination in 2010, recertifying in 2016. She participated in the ETOP residential workshop in 2012 and in ESMO Inmuno-Oncology preceptorship in 2016.
Dr. Martín is actively implicated in clinical research in phase I-IV trials across breast and lung cancer. She has been involved as Principal Investigator in several clinical trials in solid tumours.
