Naiyarat Prasongsook, M.D., M.S., is an Assistant Professor in Medical Oncology and a principle investigator for multiple clinical oncology trials at Phramongkutklao Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Prasongsook received his medical degree from Phramongkutklao College of Medicine Hospital in Bangkok. After completing a clinical medical oncology fellowship at Ramathibodi Hospital in Thailand, he completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in Medical Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and a master degree of the Clinical Translational Science Program from the Mayo Graduate School.
In 2009, Dr. Prasongsook received the International Development and Educational Award from the ASCO Conquer Cancer, and Extended Tour Award as a guest of mentor (Prof. Gary H. Lyman) at Duke Cancer Center, Durham, NC. In 2019, he participated in the ESMO Leaders Generation Programme Asia and is a member of the ESMO Climate Change Task Force.
His research interests include all areas of care related to endocrine malignancies, focusing on anaplastic thyroid cancer, lung cancer, and breast cancer. He is experienced in pre-clinical, translational, and clinical application of nutraceutical approach for cancer treatment and supportive treatment.
Dr. Prasongsook has published in a number of peer-reviewed journals and has been invited to present at national and international meetings.
