Mila Petrova

Dr Mila Petrova is the head of the Medical Oncology Clinic at Nadezhda Hospital. She is a graduate in medicine, class of Sofia in 2008 and during her studies she completed training in Germany at a clinic of hematology and oncology, which is where her interest in the specialty started. In 2009, she started working at the Heamatology and Oncology Clinic of the Military Medical Academy, and in 2010 she started her specialization in Medical Oncology. In 2016, she was awarded specialty in Medical Oncology and in 2019 she defended her PhD thesis.
From 2012 to 2019 she is the representative for Bulgaria of the young oncologists to ESMO, and since 2019 she is the President of the Bulgarian Association of Medical Oncology and member of the ESMO Membership Committee. In 2020, she was one of the fifteen medical oncologists selected from over 200 experts from all over Europe for the Leadership Generation Program at ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology), where she continues her professional development.
Dr Mila Petrova has participated in many national and international congresses and workshops and is the author of numerous scientific publications in the field of medical oncology.
