Marin Golčić

Marin Golčić was born in Rijeka, Croatia, in 1988. He completed his medical degree in 2012 and his Ph.D. in Biomedicine in 2019 at the University of Rijeka. He became a board-certified oncologist in 2021, primarily interested in gastrointestinal, skin, soft-tissue tumours, and palliative care. During his residency he completed several EuMEET and ESMO Preceptorship Courses and was awarded the ESMO Palliative Care Fellowship in 2017, which he spent at the Royal Marsden, London. He was also awarded the ASCO Virtual Mentorship Programme in 2021 under Prof. Robin Jones and the ESMO Virtual Mentorship under Prof. Andrés Cervantes. Since 2019 he has acted as an elected representative of the Croatian Medical Association for his county and in early 2023 he joined the faculty of the University of Rijeka School of Medicine.
Marin Golčić is passionate about clinical work and is particularly interested in combining scientific and clinical work. He has published 18 peer-reviewed scientific articles, performed scientific paper reviews for several different journals, and has written a book chapter regarding the state of Palliative and Hospice Care in the Republic of Croatia.
