Louis De Mestier

Dr Louis de Mestier graduated in Medicine from the University of Paris (France) and trained in Gastroenterology and Digestive Oncology at the University Hospital of Reims (France). He has been working since 2016, and as Assistant Professor since 2021, in the Department of Gastroenterology-Pancreatology in Beaujon Hospital (University of Paris, APHP, Clichy, France), which is European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (ENETS) Centre of Excellence, pilot centre of the French Neuroendocrine Tumour Expert Network (RENATEN) and coordinator centre of the Pancreatic Rare Disease French network (PaRaDis). He is member of the administration committee of the French Neuroendocrine Tumour Group (GTE). He is particularly involved in the management of patients with neuroendocrine tumours, pancreatic diseases, pancreatic cancer and oncogenetics.
His research is mainly focused on digestive neuroendocrine tumours and especially the study of prognostic factors, predictive biomarkers and tumour heterogeneity. He has been participating in clinical and translational research within the Unity 1149 of the French Research Institute (INSERM Paris/Clichy) since 2018. He has written or participated in more than 100 medical publications, including more than 50 indexed papers in the field of neuroendocrine tumours.
