Lisa Salvatore received her M.D. degree at the University of Pisa, Italy in 2007, the specialty in medical oncology and the Master of Science in Clinical Trials (M.S.) at the same University in 2012.
From 2012 to August 2016 she worked as a medical oncologist at the Department of Oncology of the University Hospital of Pisa (Director Prof. A. Falcone). Since September 2016 she is appointed at the Department of Oncology (Director Prof. G. Tortora), Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Integrata Verona, Italy.
Dr. Salvatore has contributed to over 40 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals and made several presentations at national and international conferences. She has participated to the ESMO Translational Research Unit Visit at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, UK in 2012 and to the ESMO Clinical Unit Visit Fellowship at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology, Barcelona, Spain in 2014. She has won the Travel Grant Award to the ESMO 2014 Congress and the Best Oral Presentation of 15th National Congress of Italian Association of Medical Oncologists (AIOM) in 2013.
Dr. Salvatore is a member of the AIOM Working Group of Italian Guidelines on Colorectal Cancer since 2012 and is a member of several medical societies, including ASCO, ESMO, AIOM, EORTC and GONO.
Her main interest is focused on clinical and translational research in gastrointestinal cancer.
