Lara Bellardita
Dr Bellardita is a Consultant in Health Psychology, with both a clinical and organisational perspective. She graduated in Psychology and then obtained a Master of Sciences in Applied Psychology at San Diego State University as a Fulbright fellow. She obtained her PhD. in Clinical Psychology in 2008. She is a Licensed Psychotherapist since 2009.
Dr Bellardita has been working in the field of Oncology since 2009, collaborating with the National Cancer Institute in Milan, Italy and with other private and no-profit organisations. Her areas of expertise include: quality of life in cancer patients, coping with cancer, patients’ empowerment and engagement in the decision making process. Her interest is currently focused on health promotion and healthy lifestyle. She designs and implements psycho-educational interventions and coaches patients and care-givers on behavior change and stress management.
Dr Bellardita has also a long term experience in training and coaching healthcare professionals, with particular attention on soft skills in multidisciplinary cancer teams, decision-making and communication processes, burnout prevention.
She has been published extensively in international medical journals and collaborates with clinicians and researchers to promote a biopsychosocial model in medicine.
Dr Bellardita is a member of: European School of Oncology (ESO) core faculty; International Academy of Communication in Healthcare (EACH); International Society for Coaching Psychology (ISCP). She serves in the Scientific Committee of the Italian Chapter of Europa Uomo.
