Dr Tsapakidis is consultant in Medical Oncology at the University of Thessaly - Faculty of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Department of Medical Oncology, University Hospital of Larissa, Viopolis, Larissa, Greece, where he also served as a fellow (2017-2018).

In 2002 Dr Tsapakidis earned his Degree in Biology at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He went on to graduate in medicine at the University of Thessaly, Larissa, Greece and in 2012 he achieved his PhD at the same university. From October 2017 to August 2018 he did his postgraduate training as University scholar in Medical Oncology at the Department of Medical Oncology, University Hospital, Larissa, Greece.

His main research interests are in Lung, Genitourinary, Gynecologic, Head and Neck cancer.

Dr Tsapakidis has published 28 peer-reviewed original research articles and 17 book chapters and he is also a reviewer in 3 journals.

He has been an invited speaker at several national and international meetings and has been a member of three scientific and organization congress committees.

Dr Tsapakidis is member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the Hellenic Society of Medical Oncology (HeSMO).
