Jean-Pascal Machiels is Head of the adult and pediatric oncology and hematology center at Institut Roi Albert II, Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc, UCLouvain in Brussels Belgium. He completed his training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore USA (Fellow in Medical Oncology  1998-2000) and Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain), Brussels, Belgium (MD: 1993; PhD: 2001). His main interests are: head and neck cancer, translational research, and early clinical trials (phase 1). He has published more than two hundreds papers reporting on clinical trials and translational research and he is also Section Editor (Head and neck cancer) of the European Journal of Cancer.
