Ivana Bozovic-Spasojevic, MD, PhD, is the Head of the Daily Chemotherapy Hospital at the Institute for Oncology and Radiology, National Cancer Research Centre in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia.

Dr Bozovic-Spasojevic is a specialist in Internal medicine, subspecialist in Medical Oncology. She completed master training in Clinical Pharmacology and PhD in oncology at the Medical School University of Belgrade in collaboration with Jules Bordet Institute. Dr Bozovic is European School of Oncology certified breast cancer subspecialist and she hold diploma of ULM University in Germany.

Dr Bozovic-Spasojevic was involved in TRANSBIG main project, MINDACT trial, as a former TransBIG fellow (2009-2010), at the Jules Bordet Institute in Brussels under supervision of Professor Fatima Cardoso and Professor Martine Piccart. She continued her research work as Clinical Research Fellow and Medical Advisor (2010-2012) for academic trials such as ALTTO and neo ALTTO working in Breast Data Center under supervision of Professor Evandro de Azambuja.

Dr Bozovic-Spasojevic has set up the Serbian Breast Group, an academic research group tightly connected with other research organisations in the region and worldwide. Her main interests in oncology are breast and gynaecological cancers. She is deeply involved in the conduct of large phase III trials in breast cancer and she works as principal investigator of EORTC male breast cancer and IBCSG POSITIVE trial, pregnancy after breast cancer.

Dr Bozovic-Spasojevic is a member of Serbian Young Oncologists Committee which is a part of the ESMO Young Oncologists Committee (YOC), and since 2015 has been appointed as member of Educational and Scientific Committees of Cancerology Week, Serbian Oncology Conference. Since 2019 she is a member of the ESMO Educational Publications Working Group.

She works as a member of Oncology Working Group at the Ministry of Health, Republic of Serbia, responsible for strategy planning in oncology for the period of 2015-2020. She is also active as oncology expert in Serbian National Drug Agency for Drug Registration.

Dr Bozovic-Spasojevic graduated from ESMO Leaders Generation Programme in 2018.
