Elene Mariamidze

Elene Mariamidze is a medical/clinical oncology resident with a research focus on thoracic malignancies, breast cancer and oncofertility. She specializes in solid tumors at the Research Institute of Clinical Medicine (Todua Clinic) in Tbilisi, Georgia. Currently, she is working on several projects related to oncofertility, cancer awareness and public policymaking.
Dr. Mariamidze has published research articles about the current situation and challenges with lung cancer treatment in Georgia, and has presented at many national and international events, including ESMO-Asia and the IARC World Conference on Lung Cancer. In 2021 she founded the medical association Georgian School of Oncology (GSO), with the aim to promote and equally distribute education to oncology specialists throughout Georgia. She also serves as the president of the Georgian Society of Geriatric Oncology (GSGO).
She is an active member of the Georgian Group of Young Oncologists and is a member of the ESMO Young Oncologists Committee and the ESMO Global Policy Committee.
