Doron Sommer is an Otolaryngologist/Head & Neck surgeon and Associate Clinical Professor at McMaster University. He completed his medical studies and residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Toronto in 2000 and went on to advanced training in Facial Plastic Surgery. He also specialises in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery as well as minimally invasive surgical techniques in otolaryngology.

He has research interests in surgical techniques in rhinology/skull base surgery, paediatric sleep apnea, smoking cessation, surgical flow & safety measures and evidence based medicine. He has published over 40 peer reviewed publications as well as several book chapters, and has given numerous lectures, courses and workshops at national and international surgical meetings. 

Doron Sommer is an active member of several professional societies and is currently the chair/section head of the Rhinology section of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
