Dr Casilda Llácer graduated in Medicine from the University of Granada (Spain), and trained in Medical Oncology at Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Victoria (Málaga, Spain). Since 2017 she has been working as clinical research fellow in the Phase I and the Genitourinary Tumours Units at the Malaga Biomedical Research Institute (IBIMA).
Her research is focused on the identification of genomic alterations associated with prostate cancer outcomes and she has been actively involved in various international projects that have been presented at major international conferences. As oncologist, she has participated in several clinical studies and acted as principal investigator in Phase I trials for prostate cancer.
As a result of these years of work focused on the study of GU tumours, combining the obligations of care with research training (especially in prostate cancer), she has participated in several papers presented or submitted to international meetings. Furthermore, she has authored numerous articles in prestigious international journals, including Nature, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and European Urology.
