Bhumsuk Keam MD, PhD is a medical oncologist at Seoul National University Hospital and a clinical professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Seoul National University College of Medicine. He completed his medical training at Seoul National University Hospital and earned his Ph.D. in Internal Medicine (Molecular Tumour Medicine) from Seoul National University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea.
Dr. Keam's primary research interests focus on head and neck cancer, early clinical trials (phase 1), and translational research. He has made significant contributions to the field of oncology, publishing over three hundred papers that report on clinical trials and translational research.
In addition to his research and clinical work, Dr. Keam has played a significant role in various professional organisations. In 2018, he participated in the ESMO Leaders Generation Programme and is currently a member of the ESMO Public Policy Committee. He had also served on the ESMO Asia Scientific Committee, head and neck cancer track. He has been a member of the JSMO International Committee. Furthermore, Dr. Keam has held the position of secretary general of the Korean Cancer Study Group.
Dr. Keam's contributions to oncology, particularly in clinical and translational research, and his work continues to impact treatment and patient outcomes globally.
