Dr. Angelika Starzer is a resident in medical oncology at the Division of Oncology of the Medical University of Vienna in Austria. Her research focus in her PhD studies laid on translational studies investigating blood and tissue-based biomarkers for immunotherapy in solid cancers. In her postdoc she focuses on breast cancer research with a special interest on immunotherapy in triple-negative breast cancer and novel treatment strategies for breast cancer brain metastasis.

Dr. Starzer published several research articles in peer-reviewed top journals as first author as well as co-author and she presented her work at multiple national and international oncology conferences, including the annual ESMO conferences, ESMO IO and at the Global Academy of Women’s Cancer.

Dr. Starzer is an active member of the ESMO Young Oncologists Committee and of the Young Oncologists and Hematologists of the Austrian Society for Hematology and Oncology.
