Dr. Alberto Cunquero graduated in Medicine from the University of Valencia (2006 - 2012) and is specialized in Medical Oncology through MIR training at the General Hospital of Valencia since 2018. He has studied various postgraduate studies related to Quality in Health Management and Immunology and Immunotherapy applied to cancer treatment.

Since early in his career, Dr. Cunquero has been actively involved in the field of teaching, as a Teaching Associate of the Medical Degree of the University of Valencia. In addition, he develops his research on the applicability of liquid biopsy in therapeutic decision making.

In the last years, he has also focused his interest on quality evaluation and improvement. Dr. Cunquero was involved in the obtention of the QOPI certification by ASCO for his Department; and is member of the QOPI Steering Group of ASCO. He has also participated actively in different related congresses and symposiums, both with oral communications and lectures related to Quality improvement.

He currently works as a Medical Oncologist in the Medical Oncology Department of the General University Hospital of Valencia. He focuses his activity on Head and Neck cancers, Nervous System neoplasms, Skin Tumors and Endocrine and Neuroendocrine Tumors. He is also a member of related scientific societies both national and international such as ESMO, ASCO, SEOM, TTCC, GEINO, GEMM and GETNE.
